Retail aggregation is the joining of two or more End-users within a contiguous area into a single purchasing unit shall be part of the Contestable Market. Qualified End-users must have 500kW or above aggregated group.

Aspects of Retail Aggregation

1. Customer Eligibility

  • A minimum of two (2) end-users with a combined monthly average peak demand of 500 kW or more over the past three (3) months.
  • There are no restrictions on the maximum number of end-users within a continuous area.
  • There are no specified requirements concerning the mix of end users.
  • It is the responsibility of the Retails Aggregator to determine eligiblity.

2. Contiguous Area

  • Includes subdivisions, villages, business districts, special economic zones, condominium buildings, commercial establishments, mixed-use development complexes, and other geographical areas designated by the ERC upon request a duly registered under prescribed authorities within the Distribution Utility's franchise area.
